About Nubbin

Nubbin is a merchandising platform, with am emphasis on bag charms (nubs!)

Nubbin runs threshold pre-orders for plush bag charms. A creator brings an idea, we design and sample it together, and the campaign opens with a target attached. A batch is produced when the target is reached and the campaign ends.

That target isn't a marketing trick. It's the smallest quantity we can reasonably expect to make at a fair price, and if we do not reach that target all orders are refunded.

The creator's vision always comes first. Every campaign starts with a creator and the people who follow them - they shape the character, choose the colorway, and see the sample before anyone can back it.

We believe creative freedom is extremely important, and will always leave next decisions up to the creators.

How we make them is also super important

We work with a short list of factories globally, making sure that we are partnering with ethical, humane, high quality factories that can make something we can be proud of.

What we ask of a factory partner

  • Fair hours, fairly paid

    People always come first. We never want our product to be the reason someone else's week is ruined.

  • One partner, many runs

    We'd rather place every campaign with a trustworthy partner every time than save a few cents.

  • Samples first, always

    Nothing is approved from a photo. We hold the sample, check the stitching and the fill, and send it back with notes until it's right.
